Dashboard removal...Pics

Last month on my way i saw some smoke coming from deep of front window and heater grills..i really frightened.i searched by i couldn't see anything.İ saw some water under the doormat(mop).So The day after we realized that the problem is heater radiator.It was leaking and some of water goes under the mop and some of the water evaporates and comes to grill and front window.We changed it today.It is very hard to reach it.You must remove all of your dashboard down...

Yes, grip with padded pliers and just pull.

Never been able to figure out as to why they put the heater matrix in the most inaccessible place.

After all, its just like a radiator and at some stage there is the chance of it leaking or clogging up.

What I can't work out is how Mercedes held the heater matrix still while they built the rest of the car around it..
