Okay, so I am delighted with my CL (500, W215, 2006/55) - the engine and gearbox are sublime, the car itself is very nearly immaculate: it's black so it's not the most forgiving colour for stonechips, but I can live with a couple - in all, it's a damn sight nicer than my last car, a Hyundai...
Last night, however, I turned it off to see 4 Malfunctions... nightmare.
1 & 2 are Rear Numberplate lights L & R ... However, both are working fine. (Does this just need resetting through STAR perhaps?)
3 & 4 concern me slightly... one is Pre Safe Not Active, see manual (or something very similar to that effect) and the other is SRS Restr. System: drive to workshop.
Reading some other threads, it seems likely that it's a bad connection under the passenger seat. I've also seen that electrical contact cleaner in the seatbelt buckles can help with the issue, but again, likely to be a STAR jobbie to reset the light and clear the codes?
Is anyone able to confirm this or offer any advice before I head to MB.
(ps. You'll all be delighted to hear that the ABC is faultless! That I did check meticulously.)
