Dave Davies fIlm last night............

............on either BBC3 or 4 fairly late last night.

It was a fabulous programme about the Kinks "other" brother.
I thought it handled the relationship between Ray and Dave very well and gave me a much greater understanding of the group and Dave in particular.
Dave came across as person would has had to deal with many problems and yet managed to come through at the end of it all all as well balanced family man and generally quite happy with his lot.

If its ever repeated and you are a Kinks fan, well worth watching.

This was on BBC4 (BBC3 would never have bothered showing something so interesting). It was called Brothers in Arms, and covered sibling rivalry in rock and pop groups in general, including the Everlys, Knopflers and Campbells amongst others. Should be available on iPlayer for the next week or so.

We watched it last night, very interesting, especially if you saw the similar program on brother Ray a month or so ago.

Lucky to have seen them in my 'youf' and also Ray Davies solo more recently - an underrated talent IMHO.
Ray is also organiser of Meltdown at The Southbank - London this year, following the wonderful effort by Richard Thompson last year.
