NASA's Dawn space probe has just gone into orbit around CERES the largest object in the Asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter. Its been nicknamed the Death Star after the large artificial moon in Star Wars. The probe has taken 7.5 years to reach its destination and has already picked up two unusual white spots inside a large crater----- gaseous emissions or powering up its primary weapon- you decide. ;)

Ice from subterranean water pooling in craters - just like earth before it began to expand, splitting up the single land mass [Gondwanaland] and creating cracks that turned into topographical oceans - no!?

Subterranean water is very common even in our solar system - apparently.

Big Mac wrappers.

Just looked at that picture and I am little freaked out. Is it just me (please say it isn't) or is the 'plant' twitching/moving slightly side to side within the picture frame?

It's not even 12 o'clock yet mate... :):)

Do you know they deliberately decided not to crash to the probe into Ceres on account of wanting to keep it pristine - free from earth junk. Yay! About time.
