There are a couple of other threads on this, but some washing up liquid, warm water and dental floss will take off the numbers/letters. Badges (i.e the star) tend to have holes though, so the star needs to stay

I've heard dental floss works too but never tried it. I usually wait for a warm day, then get a hair dryer to help soften the glue then just pick the badge off with my finger nails. Hurts a bit mind!

Then just use a bit of white spirit on a cloth to rub any remaining glue away.

dental floss with hairdryer, if any sticky stuff remains, use WD40 to take that off!
