The other day I was told I had a brake light out.

So, off I went and bought a new bulb, only to discover this made no difference. I have checked that the bulb has been put in properly and is touching the connectors etc.

It is on the same side which I have wired up my Highlevel brake light, I have it soldered directly onto the brakelight 'circuit board' and the highlevel still works fine.

Would this have anything to do with it? because it still works, I doubt I have fused it?

Did you buy the "proper" MB brake light bulb, with the offset bayonets?

I've done that once....bought a noddy bulb from Halfords, went to fit the thing and it didn't. Went to the dealer and asked what the score was and got told the brake light bulbs are special MB ones.

Just a thought?

yes, Greg is indeed correct! This can sometimes happen.

anyway try swapping left bulb to the right bulb see what happens ;)

Yeah I bought the bulb from the Stealers :(

It appears that the connector has died :(
