as the s class (W140) pump often dies - and its the motor dying - i cant believe that the motor isn't replaceable by itself.

so - if anyone has a dead one they dont want - can they bung it my way so I can see if its possible to make an adaptor for a standard motor - and keep the price for a re-con pump less than 400 squid!

I'll re-furb the one I get (if possible) for cost :)

kits / re-furb service might be forthcoming

I have a dead one from a 124 if it is of any use to you. I dont know if it will be compatable with your car though.

dunno - if the thing looks the same, the motor is probably the same. 124 800 xx xx part number?

the S class has loads of vac connectons - that one looks like 1?

is it the same prob on the 124? is it common for the vac system to go down? if so its got to be worth having a look..

preston? hmmm. i take it thats the one oooop north near manchester? don't suppose you have any reason to go near watford in the next 6 months? ;)
