Does Merc publish a list of costs for their servicing?
I cant seem to find the costs of a service on the official site.

I have an a class and wanted to know if its worth going to the main dealer (the rest of the service history is official). I have a friend who is a mechanic who i know will do it at a fraction of the cost, but id like that merc stamp!

The prices vary between dealer. The bst thing to do is to call them for a price and haggle!

Cheers, the instruments say its service B next... still got 3K but wanted to have an idea.
Any rough idea of costs for a Service B on an a class?

Dealers all vary but most have fixed price deals especially on older cars - over 4yrs. My local dealer (part of Lookers group) quotes the same or slightly less than the local indies and throws in a "free" MOT if its due. They dont do the MOT inhouse so unlikely to be a scam. They are quite open about chasing local market share. So far I have been very happy with their service and prices.

At a dealer £300-500:eek:

Go to the dealers website not MB main site and it will show you the price for A and B service but that wont include any addtional items that needs to be replaced at a certain age or mileage.

I paid about £315 for a B service at a main dealer including 2 additional items - brake fluid change and pollen filter change. I went out of London to get a better price as London dealer prices are higher.

Price at my local dealer: http://rsi-cda.mercedes-benz.com/co...vices/fixed_price_servicing/Menu_pricing.htmlhttp://www.mercedes-benzbrentford.co.uk/

WOW

Thats gonna be far too much, my pal used to do a full service on my golf for £100, so i suspect it wont be 3-5X that.

As quoted above, i will try and search around for a dealer and compare prices.

Cheers buddy, you didn't get back to my other thread in electrical :p
Wanted to know your opinion on any other add ons etc!

Black: I know, just wanted to keep the service history looking good.
I will call the local dealer up and see what they can offer.

Where can i find what is included in a B service? again im not having much luck looking online.

Service info: Mercedes-Benz ESS and the service book lists the additional items that need to be at certain intervals. Be aware if you dont get them done MB wont stamp your book!

You will have to ask Alfie / Richard if there is anything else that can be done on the W169.
