Audi A4 Avant (MY 2010) on order E300 Hybrid Sport AMG
New E Class Hybrid is on its way. Was contemplating removing the alphabet of letters off the tailgate as in "Bluetec Hybrid" and replacing with......an AMG badge as the car is a Sport AMG model. This would leave E300 on left and AMG on the right. Is this tacky?

Saw a new shape E350 with the same and it looked good.

Any clues on where I can get a genuine AMG badge at less that the £55+VAT quoted by the stealers?

I'd actually suggest that you debadge it completley.

However, at the end of the day it's your car so if it makes you happy go for it. However, most people will say: no AMG engine = no AMG badge

I would just leave it as it is. If you debadge it completely people would just assumed you have a base model.

On the other hand I would not put a AMG badge on it, because its not a real AMG!

I currently have a E220 CDI AMG sport , glad it didn't have the AMG badge on it.

No, it's very classy.

See forum member 'The Boss' about his Brabus side vents, see if he can do you some of those as well.

It's very classy in Doncaster.

So very tacky elsewhere.

Naff and tacky.

The only people who would know enough about Mercedes to be impressed by the three letters AMG also know enough to spot an imposter. If you want an AMG then get a proper one that you can afford.

You know its not an AMG so you can't delude yourself.

Get a BMW 'M' badge on it, that'll get them guessing.
