Should I expect more than 400 miles to a full tank of petrol on a c180k (w203)?

Yes! I get about 425-450 miles/ tank when doing regular motorway driving.

Tank size is obviously relevant. I get well over 400 miles out of of my S500 LWB with an 88 liter tank.

Not bad for a 5 liter V8. Certainly a lot better than my previous S500 (the V140 chassis).

My ML has developed a welcome trait. As it dips below half a tank, after a few miles it goes back up to half a tank. Not by much, but enough to bring a smile to the wallet

Yeah, I must say that Mercedes has put a lot of effort in improving fuel economy over the years. My W126 3L straight six had worse economy than my current V8 5L!

I get around 425 - 450 miles on a tank... w203 c200k estate.. drove it last bank holiday all the way to Lake District from London... thats m25, m1 and the other lil roads...

Yes, it is possibly to get 400+ miles if you drive sensible. I managed to get in the region of 370 - 430 miles / tank.

Thanks to all for honest comments. Have gone ahead and bought my first mercedes. Bought C180K with black leather interior, heated seats and all usual extras. Well chuffed! Unfortunately I don't pick it up for another 2 months.
