Decided against the Maserati in the end...

I thought the reg on the white thing was

PL15 KLL

It really ought to be out out it's misery .....................

Good choice...I did fancy and XFR but after having the XJ I couldn't get over the interior in the end. The XJ is so much nicer inside that the XF. I half fancy an XJ SuperSport which is the same engine and could be had for not much more cash.

I think the XFR's are great value and lots around with a wide range of prices from cheaper earlier models all the way through.

I like the "new" XJ but they're in the same category as a FFRR (which I also really like); a bit old man-ish, but the XJR certainly adds a bit of brutishness to proceedings!

What happened to the E63 estate you were looking at?

I have to say Lee that I struggle with the XFR, undoubtedly fantastic performance but the styling is just too 'execubox' for me. Just my two penneth. Says the bloke who drives a VW SUV!

Nothing wrong with the actual car per se the biggest concern was how long they take to sell when the time comes; even good low mileage examples struggle around the £17-19k Mark so it really wasn't something that I wanted to get involved in.

Do you mean "execubox" as in sleeper? Because that's how I like 'em, so you're giving them a compliment in my eyes!

Therein lay our differences. I'm 43 and play golf!

Haha, no mate its the exterior look I struggle with, somehow it just doesn't do it for me.

It must be all that yank metal you're forced to stare at over there, it's numbed you to the sleek effortless class that is the XF.:D
