I have a budget that will get me either the new A45 S , or a 3 year old C63s.

i have previously owned both these models albeit a first gen A45 and a C63 507 edition .
I am aware both models have moved on leaps and bounds , but which would you chiose & why ?

I had a previous version A45 which I got rid of for an Audi RS3. That got px'd today when I collected a pre reg C63S saloon. As far as choice goes, I would probably boil it down to this:
Noise and sense of occasion then C63S
Handling and best all round package built for performance then A45S.
However, bear in mind I've only had my C63S for 8 hours and had to travel in conditions the Ark wouldn't go out in so kept speeds low. So my view could change...

C63S all day long. You can't really use fast cars at their full potential on the road 90% of the time and the C63 has way more to enjoy at lower speeds.

As alluded to, a lot depends on how you intend to drive the car.

I would prefer the C63 out of that choice because it sounds better.

A45s without a doubt!
Looks better, interior is fantastic, probably drives better, is just as fast, if not faster, and not forgetting, it's,
Brand New.

Yeah kinda leaning that way ( A45)

after all , I do have my V10 R8 to enjoy at low speeds with a good soundtrack !
