Having picked up the New roller for the Cricket Club, I left Peterborough at just after 1.30 I was just thinking to myself 'Thank god I have missed the Newcastle rush hour' as I came out of the Danger area at 5.10.
The next thought was how pleased the Missus would be to have me back in good time........
Ohh what's that noise as I look in the rear view mirror just in time to see the whole of the centre section of the tyre fly off down the road behind me
Luckily the following vehicle was a trucker who calmly gave me some space and I managed to pull into a layby.
All in all a lucky escape and a reminder to me to check trailer tyres more carefully before setting out next time

Ouch - so how did you complete the journey?

Luckily I hadnt cancelled the AA Membership, so they sent a recovery truck for the trailer, only held my journey up for an hour. I was home by 7pm so all in all an 11 hour round trip!(I had to go to the farm in the morning to pick up a 4x4 with a Pin hitch connection!)
