    Hi all,

Thought I'd bring a problem to the panel:

Intermittently, I have noticed that kick-down is not working correctly. Instead of dropping down a few gears and galloping away, I hear the engine doing this but do not feel anything happen! Its almost like there's a limiter on - checked Cruise control and that wasn't on. If I accelerate using the pedal w/o kick down it works ok.

Also, acceleration seems to pause a second before committing iteslf.

Could this be a MAS problem?

Also, the SRS light goes on intermittently (with the Airbag light amber denoting "off").

Could the 2 probs be linked?

Hmm, I'd get the codes read at MB or a decent specialist.

Don't want to alarm you but remember C43's have a reputation for fairly fragile gearboxes. Might be worth getting it seen to sooner rather than later IMHO.

    Best of luck :)

Sounds like an air mass fault.
