Oh I don't know. The transport slot is booked a long time in advance. Mine started life on the 28th October and landed on the forecourt at 13:38 Fri 6th Nov.
And it had to go VIA the UK too.
Mind, it still has its paperwork to be dealt with, so Tuesday Afternoon is the absolute earliest I can expect to take the keys.

My W221 took one month and one day from the build date to delivery from the shop. 8 months from the order, but sales are much lower now and delivery times can be shorter.

I believe the injectors were an issue with the new 220CDI and the 250CDI, not on this 350CDI. And they should have this fixed now for the smaller engines too(?).

What customs? Germany and UK are in the EU. Or has something happened? Only time customs are involved is in the collection of VAT.

My car entered the UK on Friday, how long typically does it take the dealer to process it and release to customer? Am I likely to receive before Christmas day?

The car has to now be delivered to the dealer, have an inspection, be registered, taxed so not much chance getting it by christmas day IMO, but no one here can tell you for sure. Why not ring the dealer and ask them?

MB say that it is being delivered to them on the 24th (weather permitting). They don't know what time though. They close at 1.00pm on C. Eve so they have said that they will try to get it to me - PDI needed but they will do that as soon as it arrives .
Hope it arrives by about 11.00am then I should be able to get it on Thursday.
I would call your dealer - they should have a date when the delivery will arrive - please let me know.

The car is being supplied by lease company and as such I am not privy to which dealership is being used as the supplier. I fully appreciate no-one could state for sure whether it would be delivered before Friday but just wanted your best guesstimates - which lead me to believe I am now looking at Tuesday 29th. Thanks for your input, and have a great Christmas!
