My screen has about 2 inches of "play" on it, i.e. it wobbles. Anyone tell me what the removal procedure is and if there is a way of tightening this back up ?
You need to lift the panel around the on button (see Picture) be careful, lift up the edge using a flat bladed screwdriver and then hold ithe corner of the panel in your hand and wiggle it and lift it at the same time and it will lift free. Dont force it or you will break the panel which costs £30 to replace. Underneath you will see three screws around the hinges that will need tightening up.
The cause of this getting loose is slamming the lid rather than gently closing it. tut tut
Please excuse the crappy phone pic... its all I have on me,.

I've had three Dells over the last 5 years, and all have ended up with a flacid screen. I've switched to VAIO now so I can't put this excellent advice to good effect!! Doh!!
