Dension Gateway 500

Hi

My brother had a Dension 500 installed at the weekend and we have lost the usb cable that runs up to the glovebox. We tried a USB extension that we had at home and with that we can see the USB stick and it plays but there is no sound, however when the USB stick is plugged directly into the Dension then the music plays fine.

I am baffled, do you think the stick is at fault or the cable?

Almost definitely the cable. If the stick works directly in the GW500 then it should work on the end of an extension cable too. Although it is odd you can see the files but can't play them... I'd still suspect the cable at this stage though.

That is my thought, now I need to find out where I can get hold of a new cable.
