Designo colour help needed!

My CLK has the designo (two-tone) leather interior.

The colours are light grey and dark grey (the dark grey is almost a blue-grey)

I know that the lighter grey shade is 'orion grey', but what is the MB colour designation for the darker shade of grey?

Any help would, as usual, be much appreciated.

The CLK came with two-tone leather as an option (not Designo) which was sold as two-tone orion grey. This was only available in the UK and US market as far as I recall.

There was also a Designo option for an extra ~£2500 which has a different seat pattern, and more colours to choose from. All seats also have the 'Designo' logo embossed into them.

This picture is of a Designo two-tone black and silver:

Hope this helps!

Is yours designo or two-tone?
Is your dash/centre console etc in the contrast colour?
Paul, ive got a CLK 208 sales brochure here and the two-tone options were orion grey/galaxy blue,anthracite/red and orion grey/dark grey.

ahah - when I bought the car it was described as 'designo ' - but I guess it's really only two-tone. I presume the other colour must be dark grey. The reason I need to know is because the dark grey has a small stain that won't come off. I have used 'scuff master' leather paint to cover similar marks on the orion grey sections, but haven't previously had call to buy any of the darker colour paint.

Has anyone else used scuff master stuff? It's brilliant at making old leather look like new. The only thing is you need to spray it on - it is 'visible' if you use a small brush as the supplier suggests. I used a small air brush to paint the stuff on thinned 50:50 with water - I was amazed at the end result. The suppliers (Gliptone) claim that this stuff is what they use 'nowadays' to colour leather. You order by phone, it arrives the next day - but you need to tell them the MB colour 'code'.

yes i have used it on my CLK. Good stuff. i didnt spray it on, i used dabbed it on using a sponge - seemed to work well.... only did the bits of the seat that were showing wear but i am considering covering the whole seat.

main problem i had was i bought the leather cleaner from them too and rubbing it on my leather seemed to take the colour off slightly if i rubbed hard....
