Ive just seen an e class coupe with this paint and i think it looks truely great, i know its going to confuse alot of people because it feels and look like satin. I really like it.

I like these matte finishes, this is the M3 in Frozen Grey......

mmm, i'm not so sure - i'm a bit too old fashioned for new fangled matt paint

I quite like that, but how would you maintain that finish, cleaning etc.

I was looking at a CL in matt Palladium silver in the dealer's the other w/e. I asked the salesman about cleaning and maintenance. His response was they had no guidance from MB yet.

But how long would it be before some one tries to wax it? How do you remove greasy finger marks?

or even bare plastic as everuything is made of polymers these days?? transparent even lol

Looks great but my OCD would mean I have to wax it and would probably ruin it. Just buy silver and take it to the local Albanians to wash it once a week and it will soon look like an expensive matt finish!

I find Matt paint fascinating but at the same time I don't think I really like it. It looks cool with the stealth fighter connection but it can also look like your car left the paint shop a wee bit early.

The other issue is how to maintain the paint because within less than a year you get all kinds of deposits on paint that affect the look of the color. If you drive on a muddy route you'll even have a fine coat of soil sitting on the paint, which in other cars you can polish out to bring back the original look. Now if I use T-cut or anything like that I have a feeling the Matt car will become quite a bit more shiny than it should be.

Does anyone have any experience 'polishing/cleaning' Matt paint?
