did the CL from mid 90's suffer from rust problems?

I'm going to look at a CL420 later on today and wondering if the rust issues with modern mercs apply to these?

no - not really - the only rust i have seen on any S class is round the indicator on the front wing...but thats rare...

well, went to have a look this evening. lovely car and oh so quiet compared to the C36. The steering is also incredibly light at low speeds, felt like it wasn't connected to anything.

definite possiblity if I get the right offer for it. Really fancy a V8

2 options I'm considering.

1. Get a fast(ish) everyday car to replace the C36.

2. Get a cheap everyday car ie cheap 190 or W124, to replace the C36 and get something fast for weekend fun.
