Yes , it was a very rare model.

The CL63 AMG is the rarest W215 CL of all. It was produced only in November 2001, and just 26 examples were ever built for sale. The V12-powered CL63 AMG was only sold in Europe and Asia. Mercedes-Benz never offered the W215 CL63 for sale; all were sold exclusively through AMG with a base price of £110,000
 
Hmmmm, how come that doesnt have the AMG brakes?

The rear 4 tail pipes look like an after market.

Only way to find out is for somebody to get hold of the VIN and will find out on the russian wesbite!

It's very nice and unusual - but is it worth an asking price 3 times higher than the CLK55 that just been bought by another forum member?
 
I would take a CL600 Biturbo for that money, which would include quite a pot of funds for when things go pop.

Or a CL55 with forced induction - cannot imagine that this would be quicker.

Rare or unique does not always mean better
