Difference between 527 Comand and 512 Comand in SL350 R231?

I've just bought a 2013 SL350 R231 (delivery due on Tuesday) and the spec sheet states:
512 COMAND APS WITH DVD CHANGER

I've seen the spec sheet on other cars (same model and year) and their spec sheet states:
527 COMAND DVD APS WITH NAVIGATION

Is there any differences between these or are they the same but with different code numbers?

512 has DVD changer built in. 527 is single disk. Look also for the 518 Media interface option - you want that, and preferably 537 (DAB) and 810 (Sound System)

537 DIGITAL RADIO STANDARD DAB (DIGI. AUDIO BROADC.)
518 UNIVERSAL COMMUNICATIONS INTERFACE (UCI)
810 PREMIUM SOUND SYSTEM

Thanks. Can I plug in a USB stick with mp3 files into this UCI?

Yes. There are 3 different leads you can plug in., 3.5mm AUX, USB, iPod-40-pin. It's about 2014 onward theres also a Lightning lead, or you can just use an apple 40pin->lightning converter
If the leads aren't it the car, email [email protected] with the VIN ..
