16000 Less mls on 04 5 speed full leather etc. ml 06 7 speed cloth seats more mls £1000 dearer.
Mechanical ways is there much difference. apart from going from
2.7 engine 5 speed to 320 7 speed was there many other changes in these yrs.
sorry if asked before.

Chalk and cheese,
V6 smoother, quieter, less economy, less rust, an improved vehicle.

does it justify an extra £1000 with the extra 16000 mls. That’s my worry. And at the age there’s not much recent history to go on. I have owned both engines before in cars , don’t know much about the ml

2.7 is the more reliable engine though, likewise the 5 speed box.

TBH I wouldn't buy a v6 diesel as by the time you've splashed out on the inevitable oil cooler seals etc you might as well have bought a petrol.

Oil seal are not inevitable - when I spoke to my Indy he said it was quite rare and he had only done 4 vehicles with the problem.

perhaps somebody more knowledgable than myself could list out the pros and cons of each?
