Digital radio question

Now that in-car digital radios are under £200, I think it's time to splash out. I like the look (and price) of the Goodmans one. Their website warns about cars with aerial pre-amps not allowing the DAB frequencies (the old 405 TV band) through however, and I know that my 1997 C180 Estate has one. Does anybody have any experience of fitting a digital radio into a C-class, can I just bypass the pre-amp, etc etc? Any and all info gratefully received.

Not too sure about Goodmans quality as my friends and I had some bad experiences of there in car systems when I was a young petrol head and couldnt afford the holy grail "Pioneer"
