Is it difficult to replace the bulb in the dipped beam headlamp of the E 320 cdi? or do I need hands like a gynaecologist. ( Mine are big with fingers like bananas!)
is the method to remove the entire lamp unit.

it will be a xenon D2S-35w.

I noticed yesterday it was purple in comparison to the other side, tonight he wife comes home with an alarm.

Thanks,

Thanks,
I have done that and can honestly say it does not help! Honest.
there are three bulbs shown, so misses out the dipped beam! seems to have the indicator as No 1, then in the change main beam section it states same No 1.

Plus it is ok saying turn this item! but would struggle to get the wifes fingers in there.

I will have a look in the light of day.

Cheers

Simple answer is.
1. Turn the large back cover a half a turn to remove.

2. There will be a black unit in front of you ( power control module) which has open/close printed on the back.

3. Twist in open direction and this comes out.
4. Unplug small wire connector tot he power module.
5. A wire clip holds the bulb in place, needs unlatching on both sides.
6. Push and twist the bulb and it will come out.

7. To install, just the reverse, making sure bulb is aligned with cut outs and spigots.
8. Install wire clips.
9. Install power control module and plug in connector which would have come out.
10. Put large balck cover back on.

It helps to unscrew the water bottle and lift out of the way.
This is the easy side the drivers side has even less room to get your hands in.

Then prey they dont go often. The price of these lamps is pretty steep!:(
