Can this feature be retro fitted to a W211 estate?

think you need memory seats for this function

By "dipping" do you mean one that moves down to show the kerb when you engage reverse or do you mean the photochromatic type that dim when they detect a bright light source behind it in low light conditions?

The one where you engage reverse, its part of the comfort pack I think? I had this on my C320.. Handy feature to have.

depends if you have memory seat function and also you will have to set it up
and the right door control unit ?

Nope.... Take it this is not an easy mod?

this is the most useful function that should be standard on all mercs, a lot of kerb rash on our fancy alloys can be saved by having this. Yes, it sucks that it only comes with memory seats.

you could retro fit them if you could find the seats, switchs the loom connectors
would already be there for it !
