As the weather was so glorious yesterday and my wife had taken time off work, I decided to do the same and visit Mercedes Benz World at Brooklands. It's about a 160 mile round trip but in this day and age that's nothing of course.
As those who've been will know the premises are pretty impressive and it's great to be able to see all the cars on display. The restaurants are good too and with the weather being so wonderful it was lovely to sit outside drinking a coffee watching some people on their driving experiences.
What really disappointed me though was the shop. The web site advertises that it has their full collection available yet in reality it has about 10% of it. I don't know that I really wanted anything, but I had it in mind as a true enthusiast I might treat myself to a jacket. No chance! They only had 2 available and neither that interested me.
So it was a good day out, especially for the weather and the drive, but the shop was a major disappointment.
