update.
She received huge pack of papers earlier this week and an invitation to a disciplinary meeting less than 2 weeks away.
Many holes in the employers case with contradictory evidence and misleading allegations.
The statements from the investigating person imply that the "trial" is over and the meeting is to rubber stamp & sack her
she is devastated. I would love to take them to task & pull apart their "evidence"
We have appointed an employment legal specialist who has made a number of suggestions of how to proceed. Can't go into details yet but a course of action is being followed to side step the employers plans & suggest a settlement

It is the employers' prerogative to reach a decision prior to the actual hearing... on a practical level, the place to air any complaints is a Tribunal. Of course any grievances need to be mentioned during the hearing so that they are minuted, but there should not be a real expectation of an open minded discussion. Obviously settlement would be the best outcome though. Good Luck.

In this instance, due to the nature of her employment, in my opinion, it is much more important to expose the truth rather than whitewash what actually happened with lies.
Judgments are being made based on the employers opinion of what is right today rather than what the employers written policies were and what the employers senior staff instructed at the time 18 months ago.
Unfortunately, the most senior member of staff issuing the instructions at the time was forced to "early retirement" and the second in charge is also under investigation. They are not interested in the truth but are looking for scapegoats and reducing staff numbers.
