Display problem

on my Sony Media Centre - a little over two years old.

If I boot up normally I either get a blank screen or stripy 'interference' across the screen and it ends up hanging or rebooting itself.

If I boot into safe mode it comes up OK. I've done this and rolled back the driver on the NVidia GeForce card but still the same problem.

What might I try next?

have you tried unistalling the display driver and running it in normal mode (not safe mode). When I had this on my pc the display adapter needed changing...
