MB are now very aware of their responsibilities if they allow retrofitting of features such as Distronic, or endorsing the availability of parts for DIY install. Partial self driving is a bit of a legal minefield. So computer says no is more of their watchword.I do not think that MB allow retrofitting of this.
Years ago it could be done and MB would update the VIN record not so much today.
