W639 2013 Viano Avantgarde
I spent some time looking for a couple of roof bars for my W639 Viano.
After a while I decided to DIY.
If I made it, anyone can do it as well.

List of materials, with links:

2x 35mm x 2mm Aluminum tube - 262562756195
4x 125mm x 125mm x5mm Aluminum plates - 261376035009
4x 35mm Black end caps - 123893523092
4x Easy clamps - 163475093565
4x 35/37mm U Bolts, Stainless steel - 15389266346067

I had to cut the 2m long aluminium tubes to 1.60m for my Viano, but you can cut for any needed length, depending on your car.
You need to do a few holes on the aluminum plates to pass the U Bolts and the clamps.
Put the end caps to the tubes, and that´s all. Nice and easy.

If you need to leave the roof bars permanently installed, instead Easy Clamps, go for M8 Stainless steels nuts with nylon lock -> 121628644175

A job well done.

I much prefer ingenuity over expense any day of the week. :thumb:
