Has anybody fitted the Ambient Light kit from Dmp Car Designs. The W205 Coupe/cabriolet version with the Canbus connection and through door connections. I have received my kit but it only came with one door controller module. Is this right? It also came with 4 footwell lights and 4 door trims. Any thoughts or has anybody fitted this version of there kit. I have reached out to DMP but I don't think they understand what I am asking.

Hi Derek
Sorry I can’t answer your questions but I’m also interested in improving the ambient lighting in my car. I will be watching your thread to see how you go. Best of luck.

Hey hope all is well, hope you can provide insight on how you did it I have the same model and year and I can’t figure out where to place the canbus

Sorry for the delay in providing some feedback. The kit has been installed and works a treat. First thing I did was the doors. Straight forward as per the YouTube videos. I didn't have the clips as per. My module where the light tube goes was held in by screws. I ran the cables with male and female pins through the door/body plugs and routed to the passenger side (UK) along with the centre console lights to the internal fuse box in the passenger footwell. This is where I mounted the control unit. There is enough connectors to plug everything in. The Canbus connection block is under the carpet. It's a long thin block with multiple two pin sockets. You can't mistake it as it has a lot of brown wires going to it. All that was left to do was plug in the dongle to the ODB2 port and update the software. Works a treat. Give me a shout if you get stuck

Hi Derek,

Which options did you go with?
I am bit skeptical for the door specially if it has the clips.

I went for the standard kit. Gives me 64 colours ambient lighting in the doors, footwell and Centre consol. I may do the vents at some point
