Do dealerships give gifts?

I bought a new car, BMW gave me a golf bag and a pen/pencil set.
Just wondering if Mercedes give you anything when you purchase a new car?

It probably depends on the dealership - I suspect the most you'll get from some is an invoice

The more discount you get, the less likely you are to get a gift.

They often used to give you car MB branded valeting/cleaning kit- inside and out but dealer policy dependant. If a wife or girlfriend was due to be present when the car was picked up a bouquet of flowers might also appear altho possibly regarded as too sexist now

Flowers and umbrella I have had over the years and I even asked for an extra umbrella and got it.

Negotiate a good deal on the car and buy yourself a present you actually want with the money you save

Lucky to get a kind look. As someone who has bought a few new top end Mercedes, never had anything. Porsche however give you quite a lot

The freebies do seem to be in decline.
My wife’s new A200 came with a full tank of fuel, car washing kit, two key rings, umbrella, mats and a full tank refil once the first was used. It was uncovered on the day and she was given some flowers too..
Her approved used B class got the tank of fuel, mats and a nice cleaning kit.
My new V220 got nowt and hardly enough fuel to get anywhere..

different dealers and don’t think my wife bartered as much as I did, hence “swfa“ on the V class I guess.. however the savings far outweighed the potential freebies..and fuel.

Ther's a pen holder on the inside the glove compartment lid. I once got a free promotional Mercedes Benz in the post from MB, so I keep it there

My work give gifts with cars, usually up to the value of £50, off the top of my head i know 1 person got a football shirt as a gift 1 day, its not a mercedes garage though, when my wife bought her merc she got a bunch of flowers and 2 umbrellas and a decent discount too

I bought my SL from an independent non Merc specialist garage in Sheffield and was given a bottle of red wine as a gift which surprised me as never got a gift buying second hand before.

I got the hump with the MB dealership when i went to test drive one, they were useless. The independent garage i bought mine from give the wife a nice bunch of flowers, she was very pleased, but i thought i should have haggled harder for her to get them. But the car i bought was like new and ten times better than the one mb was trying to shaft me with and they way they messed me around on the day.

I’ve had umbrellas, key rings (the Mercedes’ star ones), amg mug and a really decent hot/cold flask which was top quality, always seem to be very decent quality too
