Saw an advert for an IT job in the Independent. Wrote the cover letter, attach the CV and was about to send it off when I decided to try and find a bit more about the company on the internet. There was nothing on it in Google. Checked out the Royal Mail and QAS address system. No such company at the stated address. Looking at Royal Mail, it seems like there are several companies located at that address but none with the name I'm looking for.

Question: Do I apply for the job or walk away from it?

Thanks.

Could be a new start up? If they have a phone number try calling?

Regards Paul.

There is no harm in applying. If they respond to you you may find a diff address or something and thus will be able to research the company.

Are they limited? If so have you checked companies house??

Regards

Tan

Found them on companies house. Feel a bit better on sending off the cv now.

Thanks Tan and drifting for your replies. :)

with any job - there's never any harm in applying - it's whether you accept any offer of employment or not that matters ;)

Go and see them. Its as much their opportunity to sell themselves to you, as it is the other way around - good luck.
