Do I have a dodgey car

Hello all,
Just been trying to sort out what sort of vehicle I have by placing my VIN in benzworld VIN decoder. After placing my Chassis number in I was told that i have a 2002,300te petrol engine vehicle.
This i am now finding slightly odd in as much that the vehicle parked outside should be and as far as I know is a 1992, 300TD diesel estate.
My VIN is:- WDB1241902F******
Can anyone throw some light on this for me?

Unless your car has a USA VIN that decoder will probably report all kinds of rubbish!

The russian site isn't perfect, but at least it has european data!

Yup!

I always figured it was an extract from EPC data, which is why I'm mildly surprised my 1997 car doesn't show up.
