Do I need STAR reset after Air Con regas?

My AC isnot working, so I will be getting re gassed as the first point of problem sloving. So do I need to get STAR to re set it?

I had my C Class re-gassed last year and no re-set was needed. I assume that whoever is doing the re-gas will run a leak test?

Yes they will-and put a dye in there too.

Since posting I have found a Merc specialist who will do thje regas, bacteria thing and dye test for £45+ VAt, so will be going there.

Should it need Star, he can do that too.

If the aircon has stopped due to lack of gas it has to be reset with star.

Depends on the car if it has climate control as opposed to air con you can do the reset off the climate control panel.
