Do I Need To Change Timing Chain ???

Hi, My 1984 230e has 75,000 miles on the clock, And my local mb garage advised that unless the chain is rattling and the oil has not been reguarly changed it is not neccesary to change the chain, Can this be right, Thanks Paul.

There has been quite a few posts on this subject. Chains in general last well over 100k so unless its making a significant noise I would leave it alone. If you need to change it drop me a pm for an easy way
