I was wondering if these alloys would fit a 1999 Clk230? The size's are as follow's - 7.5 inches wide at the front and 8.5 inches wide at the rear. Tyres are 225/45 R17s front and 245/40 R17s rear. I know that they would fit the current Clk models but not to sure about 1999 models. Anyone got any clue's? Cheers Brucer.

Yep - they're fine. Are they the AMG alloys - or another style ?

They are the 7 spoke alloy's of the c class sports coupe evo. Thanks for the help sym, cheers.

How did you conclude that Sym without knowing the wheel or the offset?

Brucer - I would hold fire - I am not sure if W203 wheels will fit a w208 - best check the offsets.

I'm not saying they won't, just saying they might not.

W202 & slk wheels fit the 203 OK (same style that I had before the AMGs) so I'm assuming inter-mingling is OK !

Graham is correct though - check the offsets - should be ET35 at the front and ET30 at the back with the sizes you have quoted.

I've had a look around on the internet & i'm sure they are ET37 at the front & ET30 at the back. Is that no use?

That's OK, in fact. Its AMG wheels that have an ET35 offset. ET37 is the standard otherwise.

Look on the wheels themselves to be sure - it will be stamped on the insides.

Thanks Sym, I'll double check them to make sure. It's just that someone wants to buy them for his Clk & I just wanted to make sure before I get rid of them. I dont think he would be to pleased if they didnt fit. Thanks again, Brucer.

They'll fit - no problem - physically, that is - just make sure the offsets are right, otherwise they will stick out too much !!

Personally, I wouldn't put that style of wheel on a CLK - don't think it suits it, but it's not me thats buying them (!!)

Yeah, I agree with you there about putting them on an old Clk but if thats what keeps him happy then crack on.
