I am about to arrange for an item to be manufactured abroad. Before I do I have found a very similar item currently in production, I have the patenet number and have read the filed patent on line.
However, it's in legal speak and I'm not entirely sure how different my product has to be or even if their patent is valid as it's extremely generic.
Where do I go now? Do I need to speak with a lawyer about this before I make an expensive mistake or is there a specific process I should follow?
