we have a plate on a plate stand that keeps on turning every day. Kids cannot reach it and i havnt done it and my wife is the one who is spooked out about it....

spooky!!

One of my offices is upstairs at the local church.

One of the Managers was working late the other night alone, she had locked the church doors. She went downstairs to the hall, on the way to the toilet, and sitting in the corner was an old lady in a red coat. She asked her if she could help her. The lady stood up and "disappeared"?

The next day she mentioned it to an Assistant, and the assistant asked her to describe the lady she had seen. The Manager described her and the assistant said is this her, showing her a picture of an old lady. Thats her, said the manager. Well said the assistant, we had her funeral here at the church last week. Spooky or what.

Working in an oldish building (with history as a sanitarium and an RAF field hospital) we have our fair share of ghost stories...

Nuns who fell down the stairs
Amputated limbs
Lady Hillingdon running around...

I was very skeptical... The one of our security guards asked to borrow a digital camera one evening. He is NOT tech savvy, and would definetly not know how to use photoshop... Anyhow, the morning as I drive in he hands me the camera and asks me to have a look through the pictures - I do just that. Going off the exif data, they were taking between 10pm and 6am, roughly every hour (I'm guessing they do hourly walks around campus to beat boredom). I go through about 2GB of images and find absolutely nothing abnormal. This continues for a few weeks (he does the night shift only one day a week), until in one of the pictures I see a pink orb floating in the library (one of the oldest rooms, still clad in wooden panelling - this was used as the surgery during WW2 by the RAF). So I look more closely at the other images in that stick, and above our printer there are what appear to be pink translucent flames... My first thought was heat-waves from the printer... but power is cut at 6pm, so it wouldn't have been warm...

Spooky? Possibly...

My gripe is this, it's almost impossible to prove they exist; and it is impossible to prove they don't exist. When reports come in, they are always through a third party (even here my report came from a camera held by a third party).

I ased him some questions, and he said he didn't see anything unusal... the lights were off and he was using a flash... as all the other images...

While I do believe in the supernatural, I'm very... agnostic in my beliefs about ghosts like gods...

So, while I like the adrenaline of a good spook story - why waste time thinking about it if you will never have an answer?

When i was younger me and friends used to visit Clophill (near Ampthill) and Minsden Chappel (near Preston) in the hope of seeing something. Never did, thankfully, always heard noises though!

If there were ghosts, there would be magic. If there were magic, there could be no casinos.

No, there's no ghosts.

We still wish there were, though. That's because we're humans.

My house is on a development built seven or eight years ago, partly on the site of an old factory, and partly where an old greyhound track used to be. I know of one couple who lived a few doors away from me (relatives of my girlfriend) who swear they used to see an old old man in their back garden, who would just 'disappear' before their eyes. Someone accross the road from them claimed they saw him in their kitchen, and I'm told they sold up and moved because of it.

One house ten or so doors away from me was featured on 'Haunted Homes' on itv LINK. (It was rubbish, though, I watched it...) ;)

Personally, I've had several occasions where I've been sat watching tv, and the room just went cold, and I mean cold, for no reason. I even was woken in bed one night by a cold draught blowing in my face. I got up, checked the windows, door etc, and found nothing. Strange. My girlfriend hates being left alone there, she swears there's 'something' there.

You sure it isn't an old Indian burial ground ?

I lived in a haunted house for about 2 years , we found out some months after strange things started happening that a guy had killed his wife and then committed suicide in there , it was a normal 1970's terraced house nothing you would think would have such a past .

have you told Living Tv about it?whenever they turn up there seems to be an awful lot of shouting and screaming and nothing actually appearing on camera.

there are still people who believe in aliens causing crop circles when the pranksters have come clean!!

Not sure they will care where i lived 15 years ago:):):)

Problem is over a period of two years the things that couldnt be explained as "bumps in the night" barely got into double figures but i'm sure of what i saw and heard

Most Haunted and most of living TV has become a joke and it was bad enough to start with the problem is to actually get anything takes a long time of serious investigation , some of the US shows have got some good footage mainly by the use of locked off cameras

Shows like T.A.P.S for example where the investigators seem to be very sceptical which is always healthy
