Hey guys! Do any of you ride motorbikes as hobby or for commuting?
I’ve ridden for a good few years now however I’m a fair weather rider only…. Which is probably 4-5 months of the year!! I’ve done a few track days too… although I’m no Rossi!
Still get butterflies when I go out now! I have a CBR1000RR, it’s an ‘06 and the last of the under-seat exhaust models.
What do you ride? 🙂0E06A313-AE23-4F68-9056-2094C433454E.jpeg

Been eyeing up the new Triumph Rocket 3 recently to replace the above.

They are lovely looking bikes you’ve had / have there bud!
The rocket would be a good replacement, plenty of poke and look like something out of a mad max movie!👌🏽

Not been on the road for a few years, but this is on the list to be overhauled, just to pootle about.
Bought it as a ‘non runner’, the loom has been horribly hacked about over the years, with a mixture of badly made bullets, twisted wires and insulation tape, house flex, and bell wire! (It did fire up bypassing the loom - picked up on eBay from the local Honda dealership).
Ive actually sourced a ‘new’ loom as it was so bad, it’s easier to go for a better one! The carb has been in the ultrasonic tank, hopefully this summer I think I may get the frame & swing arm powdercoated 🤔….. but I’ve said that before🙄

Ducati 750ss languishing in the back of the garage. Vespa languishing in the stable!

Every now and again i get the Ducati out, spend money on it, do about 300 miles, then it goes away again! Its 21 this year and only has about 9000 miles on it. Its got a single seat cover that was hideously expensive from Ducati and Ti and carbon Termignoni straight through exhausts that i have to swap out for the MoT. It's a half fairing one. Every year i go to sell it then fire it up and i just can't bring myself to do it!

For our honeymoon we went to the museum and had a factory tour. So many incredible bikes there. It was amazing to see the MotoGP section. Literally just a separate part of the normal factory though it was behind a closed door you could peer through!

😭😭😭 Used to ride a lot, now I have two kids and no time, and ran out of brave pills.

I used to have a Honda CBR600 and the wife had a Kawasaki Ninja. Both sold now.. sad times..

I've been riding summer and winter for many years. Just yesterday I did a 24 mile round trip to my grand daughters primary school where I'm a volunteer for Forest School.

I've had fast bikes in my day including a Z900 back in 76 but what I have now is much slower. It's very comfortable, does 70 mpg and 0-60 in 7.5 secs is as fast as I want to go these days. Throw in that it's tax and MOT exempt and I'll keep riding it as long as I'm able.

It only lives in the conservatory when I'm painting the garage floor.

I like that. Im not sure whether it's an age thing but i keep getting an urge for an older classic. Id really like a Greeves trials bike or something. A Norton International would be nice but a bit too expensive! My brother in law has a proper Triton he's having resto-modded.

Multistrada 1200, and a BMW R100 that I've been meaning to start tidying up for probably the last decade. Used to commute up until 2013, got a new job with plenty of onsite parking and then ended up working from home.

Lovely!👌🏽

Some lovely looking bikes here! Would be great to try and organise a meet somewhere in summer!

Competed 03 ,04, as passenger and 06 and 07 as driver (very averagely) 3rd newcomer driver in 06
Thats some achievement! I love watching the TT when it’s on! No other way of saying this but, people who have and continue to compete have huuuuuuuuge balls!
