In the last 6months i have 5 different people knocking on my door asking if i want to sale my 190e 1.8 and my 2.3 16v cosworth which is in a bit of a state still. What is the fascination with my 190s.
Has anyone else been asked if they want to sell there mercedes.

Never my car but we get flyers through the door all the time saying that they have a buyer waiting for our house ...and every other house in the area I suspect.

I used to occasionally get people asking if they could buy my registration number, but haven't for ages. Seemed to stop once the DVLA started making personalised registration numbers so accessible.

I was staying in a hotel once and the owner asked me to name my price. I said I might think about it if he offered me £x which was probably 2.5 times more than I thought it would be worth at the time. He said "OK, I'll give you £x for it", and held out his hand to shake on it. Not what I expected - good job I said I might think about it!!

I had one guy leave a note on my 190 recently. I wasn't interested and didn't call him though.

Had about 9 or 10 offers on the 500 E when we drive around, one included a trade against an M5! All those intrested got declined im afraid!

I got an offer on mine not long after I bought it. The chap who made the offer had a wedding car and wanted my C-class to use as a bridesmaids car.
