Hi there, I've recently joined MBClub and must say I'm very impressed:D . I had a recent service at the dealers in Lincoln and wasn't impressed with the standard of service I received  . I'm on the look out for a good reliable reputable independant specialist in the Lincoln area, if anyone knows of it would be a great help:D . Thanks Mark.

Euro Car Care in Peterborough if that's any help...I don't know how far you want/need to travel.

I can reccomend Sanjay M Odedra at Elite Auto Works in Peterborough.

Phone him on 01733 265812

Is this guy a Mercedes specialist? Not heard of him and I thought I knew most of the specialists in the area.....

He is a german car specialist and Mercedes trained. A very decent honest chap who I trust with my 500E. Have only had one job done by him but the way he treated the job was first rate in my eyes.

Also, anyone willing to give timerames on a 500E is a godsend imo, the one in Yaxley wont and Sanjay is half the hourly rate of Merc. Also a pleasant no nonsense chap to speak to.

I only found him after asking if the Jag specialist near Hereward Car Van and Truck would do some work for me while i'm away and they knew him.

If you ring him, say Dave with the 500E sent you. Also as i'm only in Werrington he is very handy as he is based near me.

Thanks for that, it took me three visits to Yaxley before descovering just what they were about  :(

I know, I went there and looked at the state of his overalls, the workshop and was a bit put off, then I asked about the engine mounts and he said "Nobody has a time for that job, is impossible to tell, probably 10 hours or more" to which I asked about the propshaft doughnuts and he said "It wont be the doughnuts, it'll be the prop, I can get one of them in" So I then left

Sanjay charged me 1 hours labour to do the doughnuts, the engine mounts were to get done at the same time but he said it would take longer (Originally quoted 2 hours for both mounts and the tranny mount, same as SL500) so phoned me first to check if it was ok to have it another day. He has now said it's 5 hours and will stick to that whether it takes him longer or not.

Definitely a guy worth speaking to imo, i'm having a large number of jobs done at his at the end of the month so can add a bit more detail once they are complete.

Dave!
