Does being FWD as opposed to RWD put you off the new A class?

At the end of the day, cars are still selling, and I guess the manufacturers analyse what models sell well and those that don't are out the door.

These days offering too much choice can cost you big time margin wise, just that I can't see how offering something that is made to order and is available in different markets already can cost Mercedes UK anything?
It makes no sense to me, surely the only real extra it would cost is in the brochures??

I have been told today when discussing this thread with someone that the new A3 is a huge leap over the old one and that you wouldn't even notice the fact it is FWD anymore.

I am being lent one over the weekend.

2.0tdi S-Line 3dr manual.

I'd get the BMW Will, for the extra outlay for the nicer driving manners it wins it.
