Does this look like it's an oem lsd off my 2012 c63 amg?

AMG diff is indeed a plate diff

So the standard diff has no plates at all?

Standard car has no LSD. It's traction control is managed by the rear brakes. The standard rear 'diff' unit is a regular gear diff and has no torque / power transfer ability.

Sell it...............

Is the Quaife really that much more effective than the Merc fit plate LSD?

Not sure but because I bought it and didnt know mine had the oem one, I figured I would finish fitting it

I guest that is what happened.
However I was still interested to know how the Merc one performs differently to the Quaife one.

I suppose you will be in ideal position to let us know.

Cheers

Having had both diffs, the quaife item is a bit sharper when going beyond the point of losing grip. Not as progressive as the AMG item but better for loose terrain.

That didn't hang around long!

You got a good chunk of your Quaife money back and someone has got a nice oem LSD which rarely come up for sale.

Good deal all round by look of it!

Yes, I'm happy and so is the guy who snapped it up lol

Even it went for the asking price someone got a bargain.
A genuine oem LSD from Merc would be £1,500+

Don't forget to let us know how the Quaif compares when you get chance.
