Sad news today. Harly (The Collie) has been put on palliative care. Very large tumour on abdomen and given her age they are reluctant to operate.

She’s still running around like a mad psycho b!tch but appetite has spiralled. They’ve given a course of steroids to help.

Her energetic presence will be missed.
So sorry, pets fill your heart with joy but leave a massive hole when they cross the bridge.

Robin

Unfortunately my Wife had to call the vets out during the night to to the deed. Harley was struggling to breathe. Really bad timing as I’m in Manchester so not there to support my girls. 😤

We knew it was inevitable but still feels horrible. Lupin the lurcher is now pacing the house and whimpering. They’ve been together for being just a few months old.

I think that she would have thanked you.
Molly is now 11 ish, and I am dreading the Rainbow Bridge time.

Really sorry to hear that Ant. You really shouldn’t get as emotionally attached but you always do.

Just a few days over 3 years since we took on Harley & Lupin and sad to report that we had to help Lupin check out last this morning at 2:00

He’d had a torrid 4 weeks back and forward to the vets with this, that and the other. We thought he needed a pee during the night because he was pacing around the bedroom. Just as we turned on the light he collapsed on the floor. Still conscious but unable to move. Called the vet out. Here within 15 minutes. Did the deed.

What a horrible feeling of emptiness. Mrs Ant will feel the pain more than anyone. He has been like her shadow for the lass 3 years.

Condolences

It is a sad time when our companions have to cross the Rainbow Bridge but there is consolation in having given them a place to call home.
It is a few days past the anniversary of Mollys passing a year ago and she is still missed. It is also almost a year ago that Mabel came in to our lives. Both of them were rescues. A big soft gentle Shepherd and now a batshit crazy wildfire Cockerpoo.

Thinking about it I will amend my original statement

Giving a second chance for 2 older dog companions to see out their days together, priceless.
