The bonnet vents are as with any car, to reduce underbonnet temperatures from something that may only be a 2.0 but has a hell of a high output with the turbo strapped to the side of it. And the arches and wide body to accomodate the wider track width. Its all there for a reason and not to look barry. You have to remember the sierra cosworths were designed for driving pleasure, not comfort and refinement....
