Hi folks
I have an E320 W211 2009. A few days ago I noticed the offside rear passenger door's rubber seal that runs along the door edge had a split in the hollow tube part, about 3 inches long. This was at the top of the door, parallel with the run of the seal. There doesn't seem to be any water ingress, luckily. I was wondering if there is a suitable glue that I could use to stick the edges of the split together? Or would it be better to bite the bullet and get a completely new seal? If I got a new seal, is there a special adhesive to fix it to the door?
A quick google came up with 'Storm*****', a glue that's apparently used for wetsuit repairs - would that be OK? Or is there a Mercedes equivalent (costing £20 a gram!!)
Many thanks
Richard
