What are door shims? Do you have a part number? Have you asked MB?

Not sure what you mean by door shims,if I guess do you have a problem with a door dropping,best you tell us whats happening and what you think the cause is then we might be able to help.

They fit behind the door hinge , like you loosen the hinge securing bolts on one hinge at a time, if you open the nuts up on both hinges then the door will drop . So now you slide the right thickness of shim in between the hinge and body .

Looking in to this and serching i can find no shims for doors on W124 ,, but it is not hard to make them up,, just the sape of the hinge and elongate 2 holes in it so it can be slid along the back after pressure is taken of the bolts holding the hinge on to the body .Why do you need shims in the first place ?
