the only car is a Merc
Does anyone with a w124 have the same trouble with their doors, that is, they don't close fully unless you use a fair amount of pressure or you have a window open, not even with air vents open do they close with little force,reminds me of the good old days of VW beetles, they were the same. I wonder if Mercs float

Funny you should mention this. I was wondering why I had to use a certain amount of grunt to close the doors from inside where as from the outside there is little problem. As for floating, anyone out there want to be the first to try, I know I don't hahahahaha

door alignment is bob on. Its because the doors fit so well and seals to perfection. Its like robert says "do they float?"
